Our first Gala Dinner was held in the stunning Queens’ College Old hall, Cambridge, in the presence of the Serbian ambassador to London, Her Excellency Mrs Aleksandra Joksimovic, who came all the way from London to attend the event.
Many thanks also to Jadranka Dervisevic Kitaric, the Executive Director of the British-Serbian Chamber of Commerce, who also attended.
More than 60 people attended, all very enthusiastic about the work the charity is doing in Serbia and many offered their help and support for the charity in the future.
We had the honour of having the amazing award-winning Serbian pianist Ljubica Stojanovic who played some Beethoven and Chopin.
Many thanks to Dr Vassilis Kargas for his talk introducing the charity and to Dr David Kent for his fascinating talk about stem cells.
A huge thank you to everybody for your generosity and support. We raised an incredible £1205. You are all amazing.
You are helping us make a difference to the lives of children in Serbia.
