We believe education should be a gift for everyone at any age. There is a French expression that says ‘Un homme averti en vaut deux’, a warned man worth two men. An educated child is an asset for its family, for its country and the humanity in whole.
The Raymond Nicolet Trust was initiated with the dream of sharing the gift of education with the children of Serbia. As part of our support, we would like to offer online educational resources. Much is available through the World Wide Web. We will sign post here a selection of free resources from various sources. Although we do our best, we cannot always guarantee the quality of the resources. They will mostly be in French or English in various academic subjects such as Languages, History, Science, Math, Chemistry, Economics, etc….
We hope you will help us by sharing your views and tips. Many of these free links have been curated on a digital tool called ‘Pearltrees’. That way, they can be easily shared. you can subscribe to our Pearltrees to continue to be notified by any new links added. As everywhere on the internet, there is a wealth of knowledge to access. You still need to be careful of online tracking and online security issues. Tara Taubman-Bassirian who has created these resources provides privacy and online security advices on three platforms. You can join the Fly A Kite Facebook group for news on online security and privacy, The Data Rainbow website for more specialised privacy and Data Protection issues.
Our Twitter account @NicoletTrust will tweet and chat Education as well as the events we organise. We will regularly, echo news on available scholarships or online courses that are made available. The resources are aimed to students as well as teachers or anyone wishing to gain knowledge.
EdX is the trusted platform for education and learning, founded by Harvard University and MIT regularly offering online MOOC programs in Languages, Computer science, Humanities, Engineering, Data Science or Business & Management.
Coursera provides universal access to what they promise to be the world’s best education.
FutureLearn claims changing lives with online learning. Online courses in everything from coding, to languages, to Shakespeare, to genetics.
Khan Academy is working to make a free, world-class education available for anyone, anywhere.
Next to these online courses we have curated are available online books such as freely available out of copyright books digitalised by the Project Gutenberg, the Internet Archive, the Open Knowledge Foundation or other learning tools.
The University of Cambridge Language Centre designs and produces multimedia resources for language learning and/or teaching. These resources are available in nine languages and are freely downloadable following this link:

Dr Slavoljub Hilcenko from the Serbian team has designed some multidimensional software aimed at teachers and pupils from first to fourth grade of primary schools (Hilcenko, S.: Multimedialeducational software: ''From Game to Computer'' (2), (2006), Pedagoskastvarnost, no. 9-10, pages 750-770, Novi Sad).
